Even though the trend has been to have a YouTube Channel for the past decade, we decided to launch in December, 2020.

It is still possible to monetize a YouTube Channel going into 2022?

We are going to answer this great question, along with our: (1)process from launch to monetization; (2) statistics of course; and (3) when we obtained 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours.

Launch Month — December 2020

Our Channel, Wake the Elephant, was launched December 6, 2020, and we published 4 videos this month, then we took a break and did not launch any videos in January or February 2021.

Status: March 2021

March 2021: When March rolled around, we remembered we had a new YouTube Channel (this is a joke, we knew we had a YT channel), and decided to launch 6 more videos.

Subscribers started to trickle in and we were excited, and we continued to publish and launch more videos. April 2021, we launched 3 more, and May another 3.

Status: September 2021
