Why do always people keep thinking about their decisions, but end up retracting them? How many times have you stopped to make a decisive decision such as making a habit of something or learning something that might cause a dramatic change in your life? Why are always people afraid of making decisions solely?

You are not the only one in the entire world not to be able to make decisions, but there are a lot of people who stop deciding at the last minute although their action might change their lives upside down. What is the reason behind thinking too much and what are the solutions?

#1 Fear of failure or loss

More than 80% of people when arriving at a fateful decision, they quickly imagine scenarios against them based on their fear, and they feel like these scenarios are all about an enemy. For example, one always believes that if they take this decision, they will be exposed to only failure and struggle. However, these fears holding you back are not true as you think. Scientists have proved that 85% of fears people face when making a decision are not true and even they are true, there is 15% of fears even if they are experienced, they are easier to solve than the one thinks.

So, nothing should make you fear or expect the worst to come; you only want to get rid of negativity and the feeling that you are not planning well. If you lose it, it’s OK! It’s not the end of the world, but you have lost only one round of your battle because you will relieve and go into the battle again.

#2 People are scared of the unknown

“If I make this decision, what will I receive? If I change my current job, what will I reap? If I end this relationship now, what will the consequences be?” People’s minds.

It’s acceptable to think about what you are going to do, but overthinking will definitely spoil and distract what you are planning for. Once your decision takes too much time to implement, make sure that you have something wrong with it. I owe a piece of advice to my father who once told me that every decision has a specific time to think and implement, and if you miss the train of this process, stop thinking about this decision.

#3 Fear of objections

What if I arrive at a particular decision, what will people say about me? What if I take a step into a new decision, how will people see me? Will they be for or against me? What if I start working a specific job, will my relatives look up to me as usual or no longer do?

I need you to know that people WILL NEVER STOP TALKING whether good is achieved or evil is controlling, so what I need you to do is to be aware that this is your life not people’s life, so conversations will never end and people will never stop gossiping. If you make a decision, people will gossip! If you appeal against a decision, people will gossip! So, it’s all about only you, not anyone else.

The solutions….

Being a decision-maker means a responsibility. If you want to decide, be ready to take a responsibility for it by being ready for its consequences without getting back. Without making mistakes, we are not going to learn and this is the meaning of life, meaning that if you failed to reach a satisfying result of a decision, at least you gained wisdom and a lesson from your decision.

One more time, you lost a round only not the whole fight and you still have a lot of stuff to do.

The unknown that people fear is easy and simple to overcome. Why do you keep things unclear to you? This is what makes us fear the unknown because we have a scarcity of information about the topic. So, to make things work out, you should collect enough date before going deep into your decision that will help facilitate the steps of proceeding with your plan. Keep in mind that everything around us is risky, so your today’s decision is risky; your tomorrow’s decision is also risky.

To sum up, making a decision is an easy step, but going into it is the hardest part. Before you do that, make sure that you are ready for the results behind the decision taken and avoid people’s comments whether you did well or badly. It’s all about lessons we learn in life.
