Carino Twins Birth Story
I’m going into labor today… these are the words I told myself on December 8th. The pain and discomfort from carrying so much weight in my belly became too much for me.

I already had the thought of giving birth in my head for a few months leading up to my labor. The date the doctor gave me for a scheduled cesarean section was December 20th, but my body had other plans.
My heartburn was through the roof, and I felt Twin B digging into my spine and pressure in my uterus before my third trimester.
Twins are typically born between 35–38 weeks, and I had twelve pounds of baby in me before going into labor.
In my third trimester, my contractions were getting more painful making it difficult for me to drive. I was responsible for picking up and dropping off my other two kids at school, and I knew the time of giving birth was near when I wasn’t able to drive. I wasn’t sleeping right so I had to sleep with my pillow propped up, practically sitting because the twins were sitting on my lungs making it hard for me to breathe, I felt like I needed oxygen all the time and my heart rate was so fast-paced due to my body working harder for them.
