If your Medium posts perform anything like mine, in terms of reads, then the chances are that you’re somewhere about average, just below or high. What is the industry average? About 36%. Yes, I do have some posts that perform significantly better, but most are significantly worse. The question is, ‘How can I improve that lamentable response?’ Fortunately, help is at hand, thanks to a Beehiiv email I received from Kanishka Kumawat. As human beings, we are curious by nature. So all we have to do is create a heading which appeals to that characteristic, such as, “You won’t believe what happened next…”
