Education from a prestigious university in USA is expensive.

Pursuing higher education in the United States can be costly, particularly for international students who often pay higher tuition fees than local students. I mean, the average cost of Master’s in United States can range between $30,000 and $120,00. So many turn to debt and break their bank in the process.

Additionally, the expenses associated with traveling and living in a new country can add up. It can also be challenging to leave a well-paying job to focus on your studies. I mean there’s no way you can convince me to leave my 6-figure salary for a Master’s degree where I HAVE TO PAY. Foolishness, I tell you. Absolute, foolishness in my books!

What if I told you the solution to all these problems are now available at your finger tips? That, too, from the comfort of your own home?

Yep, you read that right. Georgia Tech’s Online Master of Computer Science is now offered for just $6,470!!

When I researched and found it in 2021, it was $8,410. I still thought that it was a good deal back then. Now that it has been reduced to $6,470, I couldn’t be happier.

I take one course per semester since I work full-time as a Software Engineer, and it costs me $641. To graduate in this program, you need to complete 10 courses successfully.

Hence, $641 * 10 = $6,410.

Additional perks of doing this Master’s program.

1. Global program accessible from any location.

This program is open to students from anywhere in the world and can be completed without the need to travel to the United States. However, proficiency in English is required as the program is conducted in English.

2. Asynchronous learning format.

The lectures are pre-recorded so, you do not have to schedule awkward hours for attending the lessons. You can go through the lessons at a time and from anywhere that fits best in your schedule. But I strongly suggest not procrastinating.

3. Equivalent quality to on-campus program.

It is important to note that although this program is delivered online, it is just as academically demanding as a traditional, in-person program. It should not be assumed that because it is online, it is necessarily easier.

It is one of the reasons why I am doing one course per semester.

4. Flexible exam timeline.

This program has been designed with the schedules of full-time workers in mind, allowing flexible timelines to take exams rather than having them scheduled on a specific date. However, it is essential to note that exams may only be taken once.

5. Online degree without “online” designation.

This program aims to eliminate the stigma often associated with online degrees by offering a degree that is indistinguishable from one earned through on-campus study. The online nature of the program will not be indicated on the degree.

6. Allowed to take up to 1-year gap without consequence.

Life happens. One of the benefits of this program is the ability to pause your studies if life events arise, without worrying about losing credit for the work you have completed.

7. Global professional network opportunity.

This program attracts students from diverse backgrounds and skill sets from all over the world, providing an opportunity to learn from and network with a global community of peers.

8. More cost-effective compared to traditional programs.

It is cheap. Just how I like it!
