The field of AI is rapidly advancing, with new breakthroughs and applications emerging every day. But as we rely more on AI to make important decisions and perform tasks that were once the exclusive domain of humans, it’s becoming increasingly important to ensure that AI is developed and used in an ethical and responsible manner and also managed to prevent issues during use. That’s where AI ethicists, robot mechanics, AI trainers, data analysts and so much more come in but in this post we will be reviewing only AI ethicists and robot mechanics, you can check out my pinned post in my profile for the preamble.

AI Ethicists: Ensuring AI is Developed and Used Responsibly

AI ethicists are professionals who specialize in the ethical and social implications of AI development and use. They work to ensure that AI is developed and used in a way that is consistent with human values and that does not harm individuals or society as a whole.

The job of an AI ethicist involves a range of tasks, including:

1. Evaluating the ethical implications of new AI technologies and applications.
2. Developing ethical guidelines and policies for the development and use of AI and training models.
3. Conducting research on the social and ethical impact of AI.
4. Collaborating with AI developers and engineers to ensure that ethical considerations are incorporated into the design and development process.

From what was listed above we can see the importance of AI ethicists in the AI creating process which I believe was ignored during the creating process of AI Art which led to many artist’s work being used in model training without any form of reference to the artist of the work being used. Which is why AI ethicists must have a strong background in philosophy, ethics, and computer science. They must also have excellent critical thinking and communication skills, as they must be able to articulate complex ethical issues in a way that is accessible to non-experts.

Robot Mechanics: Keeping Robots in Good Working Order

Robot mechanics, on the other hand, are responsible for the maintenance and repair of robots and other automated systems. They ensure that robots are functioning properly and efficiently, and that they are safe to operate.

The job of a robot mechanic involves a range of tasks, including:

1. Diagnosing and repairing problems with robots and automated systems.
2. Performing regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing worn or damaged parts.
3. Installing new robots and systems and integrating them with existing equipment.
4. Ensuring that robots and automated systems meet safety standards and regulations.
5. collaborating with AI ethicists in ensuring that materials used in the AI models are respected and properly used.

Robot mechanics must have a strong background in engineering and mechanics. They must also have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as they must be able to diagnose and repair complex systems.

As AI and robotics become increasingly important in our daily lives, the role of AI ethicists and robot mechanics will only become more critical. This have shown that these roles or jobs cannot be replaced by AI as they are critical roles that can only be completed by humans for AI to function properly. Together, they play a key role in shaping the future of AI and robotics and ensuring that these technologies are used for the benefit of society.
