Creating a Life You Want to Live Everyday
By the time you reach your late 20s or early 30s, you’ve likely completed your education, earned a degree, and gained experience from a few full-time jobs. At this stage, you might have gotten married, started a family, had your first pet as an adult, or taken other significant steps. Everyone’s journey is different, but now is an ideal time to consider the life you want to live every day.
As you set up the foundation for the rest of your life, why not ensure it’s a life you genuinely enjoy every single day? When I was a kid, I used to wonder why adults on vacation spoke so enthusiastically about places like Greece or Spain. If they loved these places so much, why didn’t they move there? I now understand it’s not that simple, but it made me think: why not create a life you don’t need a vacation from, one you truly enjoy every day?
In your late 20s or early 30s, you’ve finally taken a break from studying and endless internships. It’s the perfect time to start thinking about your future. You don’t want to live the life your parents envisioned or the life your friends, acquaintances, or siblings have. You want to live a life that’s right for you, one that makes you happy every single day.
Start by figuring out what makes you happy.
Maybe it’s a job you’re passionate about, hobbies you love, or spending time with people who lift you up. Make small changes to include more of these things in your daily routine.
Consider where you feel most alive and energized.
Is it in a certain place, doing a specific type of work, or living a particular lifestyle? Try to bring more of these elements into your life. This might mean changing careers, moving to a new state or country, or adjusting your daily habits.
The goal is to wake up excited about each day. Create a life that you don’t want to escape from, but one that you embrace fully.
Live with intention and purpose, ensuring each day reflects who you truly are.
