🧿Protecting our personal data, the integrity of our business, and the safety of our communities is of the utmost importance. In recent times, many events related to cyber-crime/cyber-attacks have happened, upon hearing these, the first thing that comes to our mind is cyber security. Now organizations started to adapt to the cloud at a rapid phase and have chosen to store their data in the cloud, it is important to consider cloud security as well.
Scope:
✅Cyber Security is a broader term that protects computers, mobiles/electronic devices, servers, networks, and data from cyber-attacks. Must be for both individuals and businesses to prevent unauthorized access to devices, networks, or data. Nowadays, we are hearing cyber-attacks or cyber-crimes often. All our system needs to be safeguarded from any attacks and organizations priority is to protect their data. All these will help Cyber Security to grow in a rapid phase.
☁️Cloud Security is a subsect of cybersecurity. Scope restricts cloud-based infrastructures to protect data, access management, and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
🛡️Cyber Security is responsible for securing systems, or networks for individuals, organizations, and/or Governments.
☁️ Cloud Security is a shared responsibility model that deals with cloud service providers and users.
Which path to choose?
Though both seem appealing and have great future potential, this depends on your experience and learning path.
For Example,
🛡️ You will choose cyber security if you are already having experience on System admin or Network admin. Going through cyber security is the next advancement you can do.
☁️ You will choose Cloud security if you are already having experience on cloud infrastructure or cloud engineer.

👮 If you are early in your career or new to cyber-security then you can start off with CompTIA security+ certification which will provide you a base. Once you have obtained your first level then you can do a few projects on your own. This experience will help you achieve your ‘Ethical hacking’ certification. If you still want an Expert level, then followed with Ethical hacking you can do CISSP which is the highest level of certification.
Cloud-Security
☁️ If you want to start Cloud Security Path, you first have to learn the basics by doing CompTIA security+ certification. Once you have the basics done right, you are ready for the next level of learning — Cloud Associate level security certification. If you want to be expert on cloud, then the next step learning Expert and professional-level certification.

🎇If you want to be cyber security or cloud security, it all starts with your experience and interest in the area. Neither cyber security nor cloud security will vanish in the near future.
