Born 04/11/1923 in Ohio. He dropped from high school and joined the U.S. Army for World War II. when he came back he was homeless in Detroit, and with no money to his name, now owns over 90% of the island of Lanai in Hawaii.
Murdock moved to Arizona and started a real estate business.
Some of his investments are in the International Mining, Castle & Cooke, and Dole Food Company…
