Dear Moon
Poetry
The moon it felt so big at night
A tiny ball reflecting fire and light
Just enough so I could see
And walk beneath the stars and trees
To ponder of my time that day
To wonder if things would stay the same
To hope for there to be another way
And so I got down on my knees to pray
I prayed the sun would rise again
My life, my hopes could breathe again
And soon my life would be born again
If only the sun would rise again
Another day, another chance
To live without fear and begin to dance
To take my fears and laugh them away
Oh moon and stars, bring me a new day
