We make decisions every day from small to big. There are two kinds of people when it comes to decision making; the first one is the people who prolong decisions because they are hesitant to make a move fearing the uncertainty and the other kind of people are the impulsive decision makers; who operate of the basis of how they feel now. Occasionally, we might have been one of the above and have been in situations where we doubted our decision-making abilities. This is a skill that needs to be developed over time with practice and that comes from learning and unlearning certain things in life. We might be the smartest, most intelligent, or the most hard-working human but if we have poor decision-making skills, then it can really impact our lives severely.

Decision vs Feelings

Never make decisions based on how you feel now, because feelings change over time. Today we might feel something and tomorrow we might feel something else. We should act on something only if our feelings are constant otherwise we might end up regretting our decision.

Don’t put Decisions on Hold

Most of us feel paralyzed when making an important decision because we fear the unknown, it might be changing jobs or cities. Even though the unknown can be scarier, it can also be exciting and thrilling at the same time.

Pick Yourself Up from Bad Decisions

In life, we are going to make mistakes and bad decisions. It’s impossible to live a mistake-free life. The important thing is that we have to learn from our bad decisions, otherwise, it’s going to keep happening. We have to understand the reasons behind why we made a bad decision; it might be because it was taken hastily or with less thought. These reasons which culminated in making a wrong decision should be avoided the next time something similar comes. I have to also state that we aren’t perfect humans and we won’t always make the best decisions in life we need to accept that instead of being hard on ourselves when things go wrong.

Power of decision-making

Good decision-making skills can improve your life and can give you peace of mind. Bad decisions at the same time can make you end up in places you don’t want to be; so we have to be vigilant and cautious when making decisions that can impact our lives.
