The British were all Adam Smith’s disciples, a group of cosmopolitans in the sense of economics and trade. As a result, the technological achievements of the industrial revolution and the value pedigree of the market economy spread to the whole world, and human society entered the era of real wealth and free exchange. Whoever follows this general trend will gain freedom and wealth; whoever deviates from this general trend will be enslaved and poor.

Think carefully, maybe we can think about some problems around the colonial phenomenon. For example, why did the British take the lead in exporting the industrial revolution on a global scale, instead of other ancient countries such as China, India, and Egypt? For example, why did the British go on an expedition to spread new technologies and concepts to every place on this earth? For example, why do the British promote their economic methods and civilized system of the rule of law in other countries?
