One thing that I learned quite early in life is that pursuing hobbies always brings joy to one’s life.

During my school days, I invested much energy and time to develop various hobbies like singing, painting, writing, and reading.

I realized that I always had something to engage myself in, and that supported my introverted self. It was like quenching the thirst of my reticence through creative activities.

Over time, I learned to balance hobbies and academics so that my spare time would be occupied with hobbies when I was not studying.

I carried those hobbies to my college, and very soon, I realized that there were very few like-minded people.

Instead of getting involved in hostel or college politics or gossiping with a group of girls, I tried to explore my hobbies and derived an inexplicable happiness from them.

I don’t support being anti-social in college life, but being with a group that doesn’t nurture your potential is simply a waste of time, and everyone should be very judicious about how they utilize their time in their college days.
