Dismissal

A Poem

Photo by Jr Korpa on Unsplash

Dismay clicks away at dusty
keys
a letter of revival
pity for those who cannot keep pity out
who cannot make a pit to trap their grief
who will not light up the garbage
to keep their arthritic hearts from exiting
center stage
The dialogue was going
this way before crossing illicit space
spending cents that don’t exist
on jewelry that does
gold cuts the eye diamond harbours
a nose
The contrived air of this dismissal
opening coarse…
