Since when have the needs of the many been so flagrantly ignored by the dictates of the few?

It seems that pretty much everything to do with climate change, and the means taken to address it, has become extremely polarising — I’d call it an old fashioned flame war if it wasn’t so representative of what we were talking about.

Everything from the sudden need to push everyone into owning EVs at any cost, despite insufficient charging and grid infrastructure to support such an endeavour, to reducing the amount of livestock that farmers are allowed to rear, thereby reducing their income and the population’s food choices, seems to be design into pushing individuals to make the big (and often life altering) decisions to save the planet.

To me, as your average common or garden progressive software engineer, with a cynical interest in nefarious management practices (if you’ve read any of my previous articles you’d know this for sure), this reeks of a rather large scale passing of the buck.

A real classic bait and switch with a bit of smoke and mirrors thrown in for good measure.

Take the following points into consideration.
