The most common causes of remote work burnout come from misusing the advantages of remote work:

  • Longer working hours — your employer keeps giving you work beyond your defined office timings or if you’re a freelancer you spend those couple of hours extra, everyday.
  • Unclear expectations — There is no “No laptop after 5” rule in remote work. You might not have a clear target of what is to be achieved within a workday.
