Stand out

Think of the most successful people in the world.

Think of the people who have achieved what they wanted.

Think of the people who have built a life they want to live.

Are those people normal?

Are those people following society’s norms?

Do those people stand out?

How do they stand out?

Think of a societal norm.

Let’s say social media.

The average person spends over 4 hours on social media per day.

No wonder we complain so much about not having enough time.

Now that is society’s norm.

Spending 25% of your free time watching videos.

Imagine what you could do if you took even just 1 hour to try something else.

That’s what the different people do.

That’s what the people who stand out do.

They know that their time is precious, so they use it.

Every ounce, every minute.

Time is like water in the desert, know how to use it.

The most successful people think differently.

They look at the problem, they do not dwell on it.

Let’s say you are unable to get enough money to pay for something.

What would you do?

What would your action be in this scenario?

Would you start stressing out, only later start the search for a solution, while continuously complaining?

Or would you immediately look at the problem, and see the solution?

Most people are going to complain.

The person who stands out is the one who doesn’t complain but rather looks at the problem and starts working on a solution.

They immediately confront the issue at hand and start immediately making efforts towards a solution.

This ability to pivot from a problem to a solution with a constructive mindset is a trait of those who consistently achieve success.

Everyone has goals.

The goal of a successful person and the average person is often the same.

Their goals are not what differentiates them

What differentiates them is how they approach that goal

A successful person will have a huge goal. Let’s say it’s launching a new product.

A successful person will see this goal and think “What steps do I need to accomplish in order to get here?”

They will break this huge goal into tasks.

They know the difference between a goal they can control vs a goal they cannot control.

A goal they can control is like “launching a new product”.

A goal they cannot fully control is “launching a successful product”.

Yes, they can do things to have a higher chance of launching a successful product such as ad campaigns and making a product that is in demand.

But, the outcome of a product is not fully in their control.

It’s okay to set goals that are not fully in your control, but you must make steps towards them.

That is what differentiates the average person from a successful person.

Working towards their goals.

Conclusion

Fitting in makes you normal, it makes you average.

Does the average person live the life you want to live?

Being different makes you stand out.

Being different is hard.

Sometimes the hard road is the right road.
