Drinking One Glass of Water Every Morning Changed My Life
It took me 30 years to realize this. Don’t make the same mistakes as I did.
For the first 30 years of my life, I felt groggy when waking up. Sure, by the time I was 25, I had developed a very productive morning routine, but it didn’t help the grogginess much:
- Wake up at 6am
- Meditate on the terrace for 15 minutes
- Make coffee (big mistake)
- Get straight to work, writing articles
I always had the ability to focus early on in the morning regardless of my physical state, but there was always something bothering me. A dryness in the mouth, a fog in the brain, something that just wasn’t working.
Then one day, I came across a productivity tip I hadn’t tried yet (something that was becoming rarer as my productivity content consumption was reaching peak height). It was very simple, yet life-changing: drink one full glass of water first thing in the morning.
The first few days I tried it, it felt very unpleasant to have a cold, non-caffeinated liquid hit my tastebuds at 6am. I really didn’t like it; it actually kind of grossed me out. After a week, however, I slowly got used to it, and I’ve never looked back. Drinking water first…
