Earth Without Sun
Death And Disaster
Without Sun, we’ll die.
Yes. Right.
We’ll die.
Although we won’t die right away, the process might take time, but eventually, we will disappear. It’s not just humans if the sun disappear from Earth, there would be no animals, plants, fossil fuels or even microorganisms.
Photosynthesis:
The moment the sun disappear from Earth, photosynthesis will no longer take place. That means there will be no new crops or plants and ultimately, no food for us and many other organisms. Due to the depletion of plants and herbivores, the herbivorous animals we eat will also die. Herbivorous animals are also a source of food for other animals, such as omnivores and carnivores, which will also begin to perish.
Temperature:
Without the sun, the absence of food will not be the only problem. If there’s no sun, Earth’s temperature will be extremely low. Water in rivers and oceans will freeze, leaving no liquid water for drinking. Leaves on trees will wilt in such unbearable cold and all types of living organisms will freeze to death.
Oxygen And Life:
In the absence of the sun, photosynthesis will not take place, which means the main source of oxygen will cease to exist. The level of oxygen on Earth will drop rapidly. As, all living organisms need oxygen to breathe. So without oxygen, they’ll all die. Eventually a time will come when there’ll not be even single trace of life on Earth.
Fossil Fuels:
Fossil fuels are formed from the organic material, which is basically the remains of plants, animals and other living organisms. Without the sun, there will be no existing life, which means there will not be the process of fossil fuels forming.
If the sun were to disappear from Earth, death and disaster would await us with open arms. Every single living organism would suffer, either due to the lack of food or the extreme cold.
