It’s alarming that belly fat is common amongst most people — even leaner individuals.

Belly fat is dangerous because it lurks amongst our most vital organs, such as the liver, and can cause conjure up other diseases like diabetes, heart disease and blood pressure.

People automatically assume that this fat doesn’t readily exist in their bodies because they are thin. However, extra fat layers on your midsection leave you very vulnerable to health issues down the line.

Since this fat is hidden, it can do much more damage silently until a disease has manifested.

By reducing belly fat (visceral), you have much more leverage bypassing the burden it brings and improving your health and longevity simultaneously.

How do you know if you have too much belly fat?

My best advice is to get an imaging test — such as a DEXA scan.

It will reveal exactly how much body fat, muscle and bone density you have.
