Emilia Clarke has been cast as lead actress in numerous films of varying genres — from science fiction to drama to romantic comedy — a testament to her versatile acting ability.

She’s traversed galaxies in the Millennium Falcon in Solo: A Star Wars Story, battled assassin cyborgs alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator Genisys, and was an ebullient caretaker of a quadriplegic in the novel-turned-film Me Before You.

However, she’s mostly known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen, the blonde, dragon-riding, and city-torching queen in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.

Since GoT’s final episode in 2019, she’s been more or less out of the limelight — in a relative sense, at least.
