Eve’s Tears

Photo by Omar Lopez on Unsplash

I sat under the palm tree until night fell. I wanted to tell you, but how could I? You would be so ashamed of me, so angry…I can barely breathe. You must hate me, my love. I am so terribly sorry.

I meant to follow the rule. Paradise is lost and it’s all because I wasn’t strong enough. I couldn’t resist the temptation. I understood and then I didn’t. I made a mistake but now I can’t go back…we can’t go back. Please don’t leave me.
