Extra Part 3: Golden Circle

Not far from Reykjavik, this place has three main attractions which are the Strokkur geyser, Gullfoss and the Þingvellir national park.

This area being close to Reykjavik is the favorite destination of tourists and local tour operators as these areas are more equipped with services than the Westfjords and the north of Iceland. It will not be difficult during our itinerary to find buses or shuttles full of groups of tourists intent on photographing the landscape and the attractions that the Icelandic land offers.

The first attraction is the Strokkur Geyser. Inside this highly geothermal area you can get there by car and leave it in a large parking lot. The walk to reach the geyser does not present particular problems as the path is flat and does not require special boots.

The peculiarity of this Geyser is that it emits a jet of boiling water every ninety seconds (approximately) creating a giant water bubble that ends up suddenly rising for about ten meters. The area surrounding the geyser is obviously fenced and it is not possible to approach it for obvious reasons of safety and safety of tourists.

The second attraction is one of the largest waterfalls in terms of scope and breadth: Gullfoss. The Golden Circle in fact takes its name from a circular route that can be done by visiting the different attractions and because…
