Don’t get me wrong, numbers are important but so is self-confidence and you need to understand that.

It doesn’t mean if the statistics are against you, you should be against yourself.

Take numbers into account, that’s the essential part of researching. But remember that those numbers don’t know you, you do.

This shouldn’t mean that you enter a sector without thinking first, you have a brain so use it. Don’t lie to yourself, you have nothing to prove in the first place and no one cares.

You are unique, I am unique, everyone is unique in their own ways. Everyone has their own paths, their own outcomes, their own identities.

You can’t mimic someone’s success, even if you followed exactly their steps. Their scenario is much different than yours, and yours is much different than theirs.

No scenario is better than the other, all of them have their own advantages as well as disadvantages. What makes a scenario better is the action that you pour into moulding it and making it the “ideal” scenario for you.

Let’s take the example of Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest if not the greatest footballer of all time.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Goodfon

His début is very humble, he was born as a fifth child to a poor family. His father was an alcoholic and his mother was a gardener. At 15 he was diagnosed with a “racing heart”, which could have been the end of his deep passion for football. But that didn’t stop his determination and confidence, rather made it stronger. Soon after the surgery, he got back to court and started training harder than before.

In difficult times, you learn a lot about yourself. You have to stay strong and focus on what you really want

Fast forward to 2004, he won his first FA Cup, then the Premier League in 2007, and the UEFA European Championship in 2016.

And he has become the best player in the world, a successful entrepreneur, a model, and the most followed person on Instagram.

Odds were against him, numbers were against him. But confidence and dedication mixed with the passion for football and hatred he had for his father, made him grow into the man of his dreams.

You, dear reader, are no different. He’s a human, just as you are, just as I am. The difference between him and others is the sweat, blood, and tears he put to make his dream life happen.

And that will be the difference between you and others if you put all your energy and power into moulding your perfect scenario, and your later life. You will ultimately become what you dream of becoming.

You aren’t too old, or too young. You are alive. And that’s what matters.

Put excuses aside and ask yourself: “Am I really living the life I want to live?”

Be true to yourself, there is no right or wrong, there is no one around you to judge you. It’s just you and you.

Think.

You can do whatever you truly set your mind to.
