Some of us think about how that will be. Most of us, in fear, try to avoid thinking about it at all costs. One of our secret worries is how we will all go: in peace, in fear, in pain, not knowing what happened? Will we know in advance, or will it catch us unaware?
In the past 15 years, especially in the last 5, there has been a number of people I’ve known that have moved on; some were closer than others. All played a role in my story. So, I’ve spent quite a bit of time thinking and learning about death. I’ve learned some interesting and unusual things about dying from those around me, and from my own near misses. Some things are unexpected, while other things, more importantly, will help you put your life in perspective, so you can do something about it now; while you are still living and can change your course.
