I know what you’re going to say.

The Queen was rich, privileged, and had chefs and all the bells and whistles life offers. So why wouldn’t she live in good health till such an old age?

You have a big point; she had many advantages in her favour. The genes she possessed also helped that along too.

But the factors mentioned above are only a small fraction of why someone lives as long as they do.

Author and British scientists Andrew Stelle says: “For most of us, how long we live is probably about 20% part to genetics, and then whatever is left over (80%) is more down to lifestyle and probably a bit of luck!”

It’s clear that most of the population doesn’t even come close to Queen Elizabeth’s lifestyle, but we have the power to direct our life toward positive habits that can lead us to a longer, healthier life.

That way, we are less likely to succumb to disease or other lifestyle factors affecting most of the world today.
