Food allergies must be taken seriously.

Take heed when your medical provider informs you that you have specific food allergies.

You must educate yourself about the potential health risks associated with consuming foods that you are allergic to. This is especially true because you may remain asymptomatic for a very long time. But the important thing to realize is that food allergens have the potential to either cause underlying health conditions or more severe health concerns. Therefore, such foods must be avoided altogether.

I wrote a story about how my wheat allergy has adversely impacted my life because I continued consuming it for years after being diagnosed.

Stay healthy by eliminating food allergens in your diet.
