For The Lonesome Wanderer
I have Dug A Deep Water Well
For the long-distance traveler
with unmeasured weary steps
the one in worn and torn clothes
sweat running down a tired face
hidden in dreadlocks of a hair
blistered feet softly stomping
the heated and merciless earth
the skin covered in itchy freckles
one whose mouth is a dry Kalahari
whose voice is gone and dead
the cords in need of lubrication
for you, lonesome…
