Forget Willpower, Use Your Environment to Get Ahead
Design your surroundings to make it impossible to fail
Achieving goals is hard. If it weren’t, we’d all be slim, fit, and wealthy.
From years of working in corporate as a Learning & Development professional, I’ve seen many people struggle.
I’ve learned that designing an environment conducive to achieving your goals increases your chances of success.
However, we believe that success comes from a mixture of genius and willpower. We hear that successful people are different from us. Driven, brilliant and charismatic.
These paragons don’t doubt themselves, procrastinate, or loll around watching Netflix.
No way! These superheroes are too busy leaping into cold showers at 5.00 am and bench-pressing five times their weight at the gym to join us on a Bridgerton and chocolate binge.
But what if this is a big fat lie?
What if successful people merely create an environment that helps them attain their goals?
What if they are just like you and me?
