Four Frisky Kittens and A Fluffy Pup
How could they play peacefully?
four frisky kittens and a fluffy pup
went for a walk one-day except Mom Kat
but hey, how about Mom Doggo, where’s she
hush, be quiet, they’re both snoozing wearily
four frisky kittens dabble with a flabby pup
any nook or cranny oddly enough they dared
jumpin', rolling, running free, swiftly as a bumbee
minding not the feats nor the ceaseless sweats
four bleary kittens and a fidgety pup
curling up, whining, snuggling endlessly
rubbing, snoring, drifting off to Slumberland
seconds, minutes, hours slipped away; now what?
four aroused kittens, a befuddled flappy pup
awfully scared as dusky clouds huddled eerily
anxiously hissing, yowling— meow, meow, meow
woofing, groaning, whimpering — woof, woof, woof
four ecstatic kittens, a wistful plushy pup
giddily tumbling, cooing, yapping as they see
Mom Kat and Mom Doggo emerge hushfully
hence hugging each to lead them home outright
