Four Reasons I Eliminated Refined Sugar Out Of My Life — & Why You Should Too
One of the hardest obstacles for me was eliminating sugar
I half-arsed my healthy strategy some 20 or so years ago.
Nothing incentivised me to be healthy at all.
I suffered from allergies for most of my life, which is probably the only reason I ate certain foods & avoiding others.
Like anyone, I believed my diet was healthy.
I drank two large soy milk cappuccinos with four sugars at one stage.
That amount of sugar didn’t scratch the surface of my entire day’s intake!
I ignorantly believed sugar wasn’t that bad since I exercised a lot and ate alright; therefore, I should not experience any negative reactions.
Thankfully I did not — but only because I completely overhauled my lifestyle from age 32.
Ever since that moment, I haven’t looked back and still chip away at trying to improve my food intake.
I complain about how toxic the bodybuilding industry is, especially for women and their body image. I suffered a lot after my competitive run — and got fatter.
