Freelance Competition:
AI Versus Human-created Content
As I’m exploring getting back to freelance writing full-time, I’ve discovered new competition:
That’s right. You guessed it. My competition this time is not so much other writers but AI-created content.
It’s free. The user can edit it as many times as they like for free. AI will work for you 24–7. And if you considered hiring a writer on staff, why pay them benefits and give them vacation time? You have a writer on staff who doesn’t even need a lunch break.
As a writer and author, I can’t imagine anything AI created would be remotely as good as what I can create. I have to consider, though, that my standards are much more critical than maybe a business that just wants to fill its blog with topic-related content won’t care.
Some of the fundamental differences in AI versus human content would be current issues, interviews, and forward-looking predictions.
But, to be fair, let’s demonstrate a couple of articles and compare them.
