From Ordinary to Viral: My First Medium Earnings Post’s Success Story
Still feels like a dream!!
Disclaimer — Don't expect a fairy tale.
But instead, this article is all about my gratitude to the readers who loved my story regarding my first earnings. It was nothing short of a miracle.
I wrote the story way back in August 2022 after receiving my first medium payout. I just wanted to share my happiness and how much it meant to me. It was a surreal and amazing experience. Before I raise the bar of expectation to Mt. Everest, let me be clear, it was $3 dollars. If you were expecting like $100 dollars, sorry for the disappointment.
But here is the thing. Those $ 3 dollars meant something to me. It was a beautiful experience.
A feeling of achievement, pride, and inspiration to myself.
And I wanted to share it with others and wished at least someone will get inspired by it. And hence I wrote this story.
After writing this post, I took a break for a few months from Medium owing to my work commitment. And when I returned back, I was flabbergasted by the number of comments and notifications. It took a few minutes for me to get accustomed to get the knack of what exactly happened. And then I started reading the comments one by one.
The amount of love and kindness that readers have shown me is beyond words. I could even try the Shakespearean way of expressing my feelings, but still, I don't think it will do justice.

When you are driven by something that you are truly passionate about, such as creating art, writing poetry, or composing, it brings a sense of purpose to your life and allows you to make a connection with the world around you. And, if you are able to earn a living doing what you love, the feeling of accomplishment is even more powerful.
