When we aren’t aware of the passing minute, we often take more time to complete the task.

The task of 20 minutes may take 40 minutes to an hour. You were in the place and doing it. Still, you missed the timeline.

Ask oneself: Were you engaged only with the current job?

Or you are getting up in the middle of work, lost in something else, if not giving minutes to your phone.

It usually happens when we are not aware of the duration of the work.

Think about the moment when the deadline of the work is near. You find that your speed increases instantly, and you become more focused.

As your mind keep recalling you about the timing and work remaining.

In short, you are aware of the timespan. And you are moving with the moving seconds.

Below are two simple yet effective tips that can help you to be more conscious about your timing and performance,

SET A TIMER BEFORE STARTING YOUR WORK

In your mobile go-to clocks or download timer app, set a minimum time you think should be required to complete that work. You can also use various timers that are available online.

Start the timer and do your job, and you will find that instantly mind will be now only focusing on the work at hand.

Even if you took more time to complete the task, it still is less than the actual span you usually take.

Next time set the minimum duration accordingly.

If you are researching some topic, then set the period. It will help you to remain on that topic and saves you from getting diverted.

Write down the article with the research you have done only in that span to help you overcome perfectionism and develop a habit of achieving quality results in the least hours.

Have some space for improvement and make the next better than the previous.

SET REMINDERS FOR YOUR TO-DO LIST

So you have written the to-do list for the day.

Set reminders of the task to be sure you start doing it at the specified time.

Now, if you forget to check your do list, there is a device reminding you about the task that needs your attention today.
