But in order to become a writer with any Medium publication, you must apply to get considered and approved. Most medium publications will provide you with a “Write For Us” tab in the navigation bar, as illustrated below. Some Medium publications will also offer a “Contact Us” option.
The “Contact Us” option is for when you have questions about the Medium publication. Not hundreds of emails to find out when your work will be published. It is also not a means to apply as a writer in most cases.
If you want to write for Medium publications, then you have to follow the steps by reading and understanding the rules laid out on the “Write For Us” tutorial page. That is the only way that you apply to become a writer.
Why do you want to get mentioned in curated lists?
Getting mentioned in curated lists, or even Medium posts mentioning other writers is a great writers' growth “team effort”. Getting mentioned alongside other writers also means you need new authors.
