Ghosting Non-friends (Poem)

Time to grow up…

Ghosting! The real ghosts, the invisible dead kind are less scary than the ones alive. Ghosting is a passive aggressive, narcissistic, disrespectful and cowardly act with no good reason that can justify it. When two children fight over a petty thing, it is common to see a very mild, subtle version of this behavior. “I will never speak to you again in my life!” and they ignore each other. Of course ‘life’ probably means the next 15 minutes and then they start playing together again. But as adults, why do some people still hang on to this more intensely, more deeply and make it a part of their personality? By adulthood, shouldn’t we have learned to communicate better? Isn’t the art of communication best tested in tricky life situations more than when everything is great? Why do we veer from discomfort always choosing the ‘easy’path? Well, I don’t know the answers because I have words and am unafraid to express. But for those who are still struggling with language, expression, ego and the truth, I can only sympathize. As a poet, I can only make it ‘poetic’ touching the emotions many choose to ignore.

Wishing everyone a very happy life, every day! May you never run out of words!
