The hustling bustling cities — hurly burly
the whistle of the cool evening breeze
children running in the busy streets,
laughing, chanting, cheering within

The day has come to end yet again,
people, birds flock back to their nests
a home awaits for those who will
the lucky ones who rush towards

The sun does set, the sky is lit
with the color of the dusk —
a calming feeling, I stand on the rooftop
looking at the horizon in awe

The night has set, the day ends now
I stood right there for a moment’s lapse
to witness the sight, one last time —
the peace remains, as the sky goes black

The night has come, I believe it’s time
to go back inside, and break thy fast
to be grateful for the day, and the joy it brought
Ramadan it seems is in full swing —
Peace, tranquility, and spiritual indeed

It’s never black or white. Sometimes there’s a bit of spicy red in there as well.
