1. The Weight of Expectations: Academic Pressure

Have you noticed how some parents push their children to be bookworms and aim for top positions in class? If you’re a parent, you may or may not agree with this perspective, but believe me, students are under tremendous academic pressure. Even if you’re not directly pressuring your child to study, if they constantly have their heads buried in books, there could be two reasons:

1. They want to make you proud.

2. They are genuinely focused on their career and want to be proactive, competitive students in their class.

I had seen many students who start crying when they saw their grades, although it is natural that you feel sad when you are not getting the result you were working for but for a college student who get depressed after seeing grade it become obvious that they are under pressure. And the pressure may be different for each student, but the problem is this pressure is lead them to bad mental health

2. Alone in a Crowd: The Reality of Social Isolation

When a student enters a new place, like college or university, they may feel isolated. The reason for this reluctance to be involved is the change of environment. They may find themselves isolated from their fellow students and may not adjust easily to this new environment. This isolation can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and stress.

While some might choose solitude over social butterflies, research rings the alarm that too much alone time could steer one towards the blues and even the occasional imaginary friend if it turns into a long-term gig.

3. The Tempting Escape: Substance Abuse in College

When we talk about options in college, we must not forget substance abuse. Yes, there is a trend in many universities and colleges where joining gangs, smoking, and drinking is considered part of the normal college culture. Many students may fall prey to this and begin using substances like drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes to get rid of stress and pain, but they only become addicted, causing mental health problems and creating a cycle of dependence and emotional distress.

4. The Silent Burden: Financial Stress

Not all students are financially strong. Some of them may be bearing the burden of tuition fees, living expenses, and student loans. This financial burden can lead to stress and depression, which may ultimately affect their studies and career.

While many universities have introduced various schemes for needy students, there is still a lack of awareness about these facilities, and students may not be fully informed.

Conclusion:

Be the Light in Someone’s Dark Moment

Give a helping hand to everyone you find silent. You can turn on the lights of life for them. Just try to understand student problems. Life is not as easy as we are told. Try to break these barriers for someone so they may step ahead and see what life really is.
