Harnessing the Power of Your Mind
What goes in must come out
GIGO (garbage in, garbage out) isn’t just about computers; it’s also about your mind. What you feed it shapes what you think, say, and do. Choose wisely, and GIGO can become “good in, good out.” Here’s how.
What goes in must come out
There is a universal principle that says, “What goes in must come out.” For example, food and water enter your body and exit as waste after being processed by the digestive system. Similarly, what you see, hear, and read enters your brain, is processed, and comes out as thoughts, words, or actions. The key difference? The body expels waste; the mind produces outcomes that can be helpful and constructive or harmful and damaging.
Sadly, the output of the mind can sometimes be more toxic than physical waste. At times, it can be deceptive, destructive, or even dangerous. But it can also be creative, healing, and kind. Just like the body, the mind depends on what you feed it.
Life constantly presents us with choices between healthy and unhealthy food, as well as positive and negative input. We make these decisions daily, and their results are inevitable.
