Illumination
Hatred is using a mask
To hide actions and thoughts
But we can still see
When hate’s actions decided
To destroy you and me
Rioting and looting
But you aren’t fooling
Because we can still see
Exactly what you are doing
Divide and rule
Is your most powerful tool
Choosing to remain silent
Amid injustice and violence
Instead of uniting
The people of all races
But we can read the emotion on hate’s faces
The mask won’t hide hatred at all
All types of Discrimination will fall
But come November third
Black and white voices will be heard
With the stroke of a pen
We will be able to defend
Our right to choose
Because love will not lose
When hate fails to realize
Black, brown, red or white
We are all the same inside
Because love is color blind
In all things it sees in front and behind
Love is humanity’s answer
Because it knows that all lives matter
