Healing Through Forgiveness

A poem

Deep in the quietness of my heart,

where my tearful soul is falling apart.

Grows a seed — a chance at healing,

buried inside the pain I am concealing.

When burdens weigh the soul with chains

and memories dig up difficult pains,

release is found in mercies of forgiveness,

as band-aids to my wounds and senses.

Forgiveness does not mean forgetting,

but it’s seeing past the pain of love’s pure being.

For in the act of letting free,

we discover our own tranquility.

The past may sting like cold winter air,

But true forgiveness brings a soothing flare.

It ignites hope and lights up the night,

Guides our heart to morning’s light.

To forgive is to release the weight,

reminding us that love is always better than hate.

So let us journey step by step,

With hearts wide open, just like a clean slate.

For in forgiveness that is pure and kind,

Will bring us peace — with no suffering left behind.
