A couple of Years ago, I started writing online, and within three months, I prepared myself from $0 to $3,000 per month.

I received a lot of questions about my journey, so I wanted to lay out the process I followed to land my first full-time writing job, which entirely covered my expenses.

I felt lost everything and self-help to figure out where to start. I decided to take the necessary steps and how to start, too.

Background: Two years ago, I was studying business informatics in a top dual-study job and study program. The issue? I hated it.

I was getting paid to study and work, but my job involved so few meaningful tasks that I felt lifeless. Mostly, I would sit idle, scrolling through the internet, wasting time.

Then I stumbled upon digital nomads — young people earning money from their laptops. It sounded like a dream.

Intrigued, I dug deeper and found that many were using platforms like Upwork.
