Homeless In Ghana

There are many countries that do nothing for their homeless population here is a story of those who are homeless in Ghana

In many countries, there are no services to provide assistance for society's most impoverished people. Even the mentality of many is that poverty is something each individual causes or brings on themselves. In countries where people work long, hot days making some of the lowest wages known to man. Working and being homeless is nothing new to millions of people worldwide.

In Ghana this is what the government spends its funds on, instead of providing homeless shelters or areas for people to sleep. Making areas under bridges where someone can seek out shelter from rain or intense sun uninhabitable for someone to sleep. A place where no one can live in which they can be safe for just a night.

In a country where seeing homeless children walking through traffic to beg for food or money, people proclaim you get used to it. There are houses that are incomplete, where people try to sleep temporarily until they’re caught and chased away. Sadly if they’re children they often find themselves on the receiving a brutal beating.
