Ana Gavia is the founder and CEO of Pink Colada, a bikini brand she started and scaled from her bedroom in Melbourne, Australia.

I randomly read her story in Forbes and has been obsessed with the way she built her business ever since.

I read every interview of hers that I could find online and learned a ton.

As a teenager from a coastal town in Australia, she struggled to find affordable, fun, and comfortable swimwear.

This led her to found her company while studying a master degree in podiatric medicine in Melbourne.

She launched her side hustle with $200 and a year later, Pink Colada was bringing AUD1.5 million.

To quote MJ DeMarco, you can get rich quick, but you can’t get rich easy.

This is her story.

Inspiration

Design and fashion had been Ana’s interests way before she started Pink Colada.

When she was 12 years old, she’d come home from school and play around with HTML and Photoshop, fully indulging in her creative side.
