If there’s anything in this world that most people love to do, it is undoubtedly eating. Every person needs to eat to survive, but sometimes survival isn’t the only reason. Some people love eating to the extent that they make it a hobby or a comfort activity. Whether you’re an individual with a love for food, a chef, or a food enthusiast, there are many foods you can try and savor each bite. Who wouldn’t want to enjoy various meals with different flavors?

Humanity’s love for food has been continuously evolving as people adopt different food practices, preparation, and recipes from other countries. One prevailing trend for food lovers is Mukbang, and most might already know how Mukbang works. Mukbang started in South Korea around 2010 as an eating trend, popularized by the YouTuber Broadcast Jockey (BJ).

Mukbang was coined from the Korean words “muk-ja,” which means eating, and “bang-song” for broadcast. Combining the words gives meaning to Mukbang as an eating broadcast.
