How Fast Food Makes Us Stupid

I am always tempted by fast food. I sometimes gaze with jealousy at the people carrying bags from Mcdonald's. They give off a smell that makes you instinctively salivate. Just by the smell alone, you can imagine your favorite burger with fries. Sometimes I get carried away and buy a BigMac. I am fascinated by the marketing giants. How did they manage to manipulate us to make this sandwich, which is not even that good, into one of the most consumed dishes in the world? I am fascinated, but I am also angry. Because of this growing fast food market, we are becoming more and more stupid.

Less time with food

Americans are spending less and less time in the kitchen. We are in a society where work is more important than anything else. Fast food has appeared at the right time since we can eat while satisfying all our desirable comforts; the comfort of not cooking, the financial comfort, and the satiating comfort. The appearance of fast food has been revolutionary. The obesity rate in the United States shows us that the American population has become accustomed to the fast food routine.
