Three-year-old Hudson found a kitten in their yard.

Early one morning, Hudson ran out into their yard to look for his truck.

Lo and behold, sitting in his mom’s flower garden, he spotted a tiny white kitten chewing on grass.

Before the kitty could escape, Hudson scooped it up and shouted to his mom to see what he had found.

Anxiously, his mom advised they needed to find the kitty’s owner first because it looked healthy and might have a mama somewhere.

“Give it some kibble and water in the kitchen, Hudson; then we will call around and put up posters to find the owners.”

“Can we not keep it, Mom? Finders are keepers! Please say yes!”

Hudson’s mom lifted him onto her knee while he held the kitty, and she then explained:

“You can take care of the kitty until we find its owners. Its mama will be very sad if she cannot find her baby, and the owners may be looking…
