Until a few months ago, I had been a light user of porn for years averaging between one to four times a month which I considered a healthy dose.

My long-held view was that while all addictions are bad, watching porn in moderation can have both health and relationship benefits. That’s why I actually never set out to quit porn, but an interesting converging of events early this year seems to have created the perfect storm to put an end to that craving.

The Book

In early April, I finally got my hands on Daniel Kahneman’s international bestseller “Thinking, Fast and Slow”. After the first few pages, I knew it was a rare treat and it absolutely didn’t disappoint.

In fact, the book is so densely packed with so many insights into how the mind works that it literally blew my mind, many times over.

I particularly loved many of the experiments so ingeniously designed that they stretch or twist the mind in powerful ways to reveal the hidden and counterintuitive features/bugs of the mind.
