I never thought I would ever be writing about how I healed because I never thought I would heal in the first place. I’m pretty sure many of you have gone through a phase where you don’t know if you will ever get back to normal, ever smile at the things you enjoyed doing, or ever like the things that you once loved. Trust me, I had these questions too, and this is how I found answers for them.

“Time heals everything” was very true in my life. If you are suffering right now, it doesn’t mean you will suffer the same amount tomorrow, the next day, or after six months. All you have to do is give yourself enough time to get back to normal instead of forcing yourself to believe you are over something.

Everything happens for a reason. You are losing something today just to get something better tomorrow. You lose a job today to get a life you always wished for tomorrow. You lose a person today to get someone who understands and deserves you tomorrow. Nothing happens just to leave you with scars; it happens for you to find someone who draws stars around your scars.

That’s what happened to me. During my darkest days, I learned to be patient and trust that better times were ahead. And then, I found that person. The person who I never knew I wanted but always needed. The one who healed something she never broke. The one who made me believe in surviving again.

All of us reach a point where we just want to end the suffering and quit. But just keep going because bigger and amazing things are waiting for you. Just give yourself time, and things will fall into place. Your life will become far more beautiful than you ever imagined.

The right person at the right time can heal a lifetime of wounds.
