I’ve spoken to a lot of people who are looking for ways to have a great life after 50 or 60. Could it be because we are the first generation that is expected to live into their 90s on average?

That’s a lot of time to live. I think that’s something to celebrate, don’t you?

No generation before us has had so many years to live after their kids have left the house. So, we’re basically reinventing a whole new phase in life where we’re energetic, strong and all fired up after years of putting our dreams on the back burner.

Now we want to have fun.

Not so long ago in our parents’ generation, we were lucky we reached age 70. We are pioneers. We are fighting outdated views of what this age is all about, like the belief that it’s too late to be starting over or that we’re too old to be doing this or that. These are beliefs that belong to another period in history.

One of the best anti-aging secrets that I’ve learned is that we need to be happy. How do I keep myself happy? I do something that makes me a little scared, throws a little out of my comfort zone but makes my heart pound like crazy from the excitement.
